I. Rationale
The Newborn Screening Reference Center (NSRC), mandated under the Newborn Screening Act of 2004, supports Newborn Screening Continuity Clinics (NBSCCs) through case audits, meetings, trainings, and consultations, both in person and online. Providing laptops for NBSCC operations will enable the NBSCC teams to effectively use the Continuity Clinic Online Records System (CCORS), manage virtual patient consultations, strengthen communication, enhance collaboration, and improve overall productivity and efficiency in delivering technical assistance.
II. Objective
The proposal seeks to acquire 20 laptops equipped with operating systems and licensed Microsoft software to enhance the operational capacity of the Newborn Screening Continuity Clinic. The provision of these devices shall support the following key functions:
a. Enable full access to and utilization of the Continuity Clinic Online Records System (CCORS) for accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
