Description
The U.S. Army TMDE Activity (USATA) has a requirement to implement a brand name purchase of two (2) MCM5004 Manual Mass Comparators or equivalent that will be a life cycle replacement of an existing model that is becoming inoperable. The unit shall be delivered to USATA-s Army Physical Standards Labs located at Building 5435, Fowler Road Redstone Arsenal.
The Mass Comparators will also include the additional measurements to support USATA-s mission as follow:
• Maximum measurement capability of 5 Kg, with a readability of 0.1 mg,
• Repeatability of 0.5 mg or better, and a digital readout display.
• Comparator must have the capability to complete an internal calibration adjustment and provide compensation for off center loading.
• Comparator must also be able to complete E1 calibrations at a 5 kg load and provide stabilization in less than 4 seconds.
