The prizes are used by the central unit for our events such as the National Shooting Competition and the Norwegian Championship in field exercises, as well as some prizes for regional district conventions. DFS is known for having good quality prizes. The Shooting Parliament decided in April 2026 to move away from real silver for standard prizes for the Landsskytterstevnet. The Norwegian Archery Board has decided to move away from real silver for them most of DFS' permanent one-off trophies. Instead, prizes must be used in the same/similar form of lacquered silver spot of good quality. During the negotiations, samples must be taken that show the corresponding quality covered by the offer. Deliveries are measured against these specimens so that the tenderers are well aware of the quality that is expected. The procurement procedure: The procurement is not covered by the law and regulations on public procurement (LOA/FOA), because the premiums are financed with own funds. However, procedures modeled on parts I and II of the FOA will be used. The competition is conducted as an open tender competition. The suppliers with the best offers will be invited to dialogue according to FOA § 9-3. The dialogue will include both clarifications and negotiations. The dialogue will first be carried out with a review in a meeting, with follow-up through written questions that are answered in writing.
