Background: the national institute of neurological disorders and stroke (ninds) light imaging facility (lif) provides ninds investigators with access to state-of-the-art laser scanning microscope (lsm) technologies in the light imaging center. This center supports research which expands ninds s understanding of the many aspects of neurological disorders and stroke. The leica confocal laser scanning (sp8) microscope in this lab is the critical component in the carrying out the lab s mission. A service agreement is necessary quick repairs, if needed, and regular maintenance support to ensure continued use of the equipment which is required to perform at peak manufacturer s standards.
