Description : The Airport Authority (the “Authority”) is currently exploring means of effectively managing waste arising after the Three Runway System becomes fully operational. The Authority is considering the implementation of a Waste-to-Hydrogen (“WtH”) Facility under a franchise agreement. The franchisee shall be responsible for investment, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Facility that utilizes treatment technology to convert general waste collected by the HKIA waste management system into hydrogen fuel.
