Detailed_Description : This Notice of Planned Procurement (“NPP”) is issued to inform interested suppliers of the intent of the Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (the “Ministry”) to secure provisions for Red Hat software maintenance, support services, and related products and services necessary for operational continuity which includes: •Red Hat software subscriptions, renewals, and licensing.•Technical support and security updates.•Consulting and implementation services.•System integration and configuration support.•Disaster recovery including testing.•Training and knowledge transfer.•Access to Red Hat Certified Engineers or equivalent expertise.The proposed procurement intends to cover Red Hat associated operational products (e.g., Ansible, OpenShift, ELS, etc.). These products and services are expected to be provided for a term of up to six (6) years (original term of three (3) years, plus a three (3) year extension option).A Request for Bids (“RFB”) is anticipated to be issued in September of 2025, via the Ontario Tenders Portal (“OTP”). This notice, including any timetables, is for information purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation and shall not give rise to any legal rights or duties. The RFB may differ from the information contained in this NPP. The Ministry reserves the right to cancel or modify this planned procurement at its sole discretion.
Scope of Work : The objective of this Red Hat Operational Continuity Software Maintenance and Support Services RFB is to provide the Ontario Public Service (OPS) the ability to purchase additional software licenses to maintain compliance with licensing terms and conditions, as well as acquire annual maintenance and support contracts that are needed for ensuring applications run free from any defects or security flaws. The Red Hat Operational Continuity Software Maintenance and Support Services RFB is intended to establish an agreement with a single Vendor. that will:·Be capable of providing a wide range of Red Hat software products and maintenance and support;·Improving the visibility and intelligence around software agreements across the Ontario Government, enabling strategic management of licenses and related services.
