BACK GROUND The United Nations World Food Programme, hereinafter referred to as the "WFP, " has its headquarters located at Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization, saving and transforming lives by delivering food assistance in emergencies and collaborating with communities to enhance nutrition and build resilience. WFP assists nearly 100 million people across approximately 83 countries each year, with a commitment to making a positive impact. The WFP Afghanistan Office aims to establish and update a pool of pre-qualified suppliers (2024 shortlist) capable of providing Clearing and Forwarding services at all Afghanistan border points i.e. Hairatan, Sherkhan Bandar, Aqina, Islam Qala. Torghondi, Spinboldak, and Torkham.
