In connection with the 6 tram lines (lines 2, 24, 51A, 62, 69) and 7 current transformers affected by the development, the authorization and construction plans for the construction of the power supply network necessary for the operation of the CAF trams in accordance with the operating conditions preparation, acquisition of building permits, preparation of construction tender documentation. Power supply work for the transportation of CAF vehicles. Budapest public transport intends to expand its vehicle fleet in addition to the current stock from 2024 (until 2026 inclusive) by purchasing an additional 46 CAF 3/5 and 5 CAF 3/9 modern low-floor vehicles. With the new vehicles, it is possible for vehicles with increased passenger comfort to appear on additional lines as well. However, for this it is necessary to carry out such developments as which is a basic condition for vehicles to be able to travel safely and reliably on the affected lines. The planning task is based on the interventions affecting the power supply system that are absolutely necessary for the safety of the new trams and operator on the lines designated by the Operator (BKV Zrt.). CAF-type trams are currently running on some of the lines, but taking into account the technical characteristics of the trams, they are necessary on the affected lines interventions, which are spatially classified into two main planning groups (internal and external interventions).
