The City of Medicine Hat Power Plant is a 210 MW combined cycle plant in Medicine Hat, AB. The plant configuration consists of 4 HRSGs (2 x 180k lbs/hr, 2 x 130k lbs/hr), Solar Steam Generator (8k lbs/hr), and one package boiler (150k lbs/hr). This system operates at 600 PSIG and 750 F. The facility is designed and constructed as a base loaded facility, but can be subjected to starts and stops on a daily basis. Within a 24 hour period, the facility can change from 25% capacity to 100% capacity and vary anywhere in between. The water treatment strategy should be structured with this operating scenario in mind. Currently The City of Medicine Hat Power Plant is transitioning to a EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) chemistry guidelines from a ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) chemistry guidelines.
This contract will include chemical supply and technical support, along with recommendations for the treatment program that will satisfy the OEM standards for water and steam quality in the various systems throughout the plant
A site meeting has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. local time on June 23, 2015 at 1502 Power House Road SW, Medicine Hat, AB. Potential Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this site meeting and shall bear full risk and responsibility for failing to so attend.
