The system to be procured will support the research, development, and training initiatives at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The system must be able to enhance aviation safety, for example near airports, city centres, and other areas where safe flying is crucial. The system must be a portable and modular solution suitable for continuous operation in demanding weather and field conditions. The system must enable Radio Frequency-based detection of drones operating on commonly used drone frequencies. The system must provide a map-based, real-time situational awareness view and must be capable of logging detected events in a reliable and verifiable manner. The system must include a standardised and encrypted interface for external integrations. The system must support remote access, but it must also be capable of fully autonomous operation without network connectivity in field conditions. The system must include the antenna with mounting structures, necessary cabling, and a processing unit.
