Political communication for the water industry The project concerns the development of a communication toolbox for the water and waste water sector which will strengthen the decision-making basis and contribute to the implementation of necessary investments. The target group for the project is municipal water and sewage companies, administrative management and local politicians, as well as residents and businesses. The delivery will help to strengthen communication between these target groups and ensure a better understanding of the necessary investments in water and the sewage sector. The delivery must include the following main elements, (read the project description, appendix 1, carefully): 1. Mapping - Analysis of current communication practices in a selection of municipalities - Identification of barriers and success factors 2. Development of toolbox - Messages and storytelling adapted to different target groups - Templates and presentation tools - Argumentation basis and key figures - Models for cross-sector cooperation - Communication strategies related to fee increases 3. Piloting and testing - Testing in municipalities - Adjustment of tools based on experience 4. Implementation - Courses and workshops - Guidance material and digital resources The project will result in: - A Norwegian Water report (toolbox) - Presentation of the report on Norsk Vann's annual conference in September 2027. - Material for short communication of the results (for example presentation, video, webinar or article)
