Tender Details

The Stolperbascule Bridge has an important regional and local function as a crossing over the Noordhollandsch Canal. The bridge dates from 1936 and needs to be replaced. The bridge has required intensive maintenance for some time to continue functioning. The maintenance condition of the bridge variesnd parts, especially the trap and installation, moderate to poor. The road profile on the bridge is also too narrow for freight traffic that has to pass each other. The structural safety of the Stolperbascule bridge is critical. From the Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI's present in the context of the Machinery Directive. The province also has ambitions in the field of sustainable and circular construction. For the reasons stated, it has been decided that widening and safe design, including adjacent waterway infrastructure, is necessary. The new Stolper Bridge is being builtwd north of the old Stolperbascule bridge. The old bridge will be demolished after the new bridge is put into use. The surrounding and connecting infrastructure must be adapted to connect to the new bridge.
