The City of Reykjavik and Transport for the Capital Area PLC will invite teams to participate in a contest to create a development plan for a new neighbourhood in a key location, a 116 ha open area known as Keldur. The development will be transit oriented and based on the installation of a high- quality bus rapid transit system offering efficient and reliable transport links between key areas in the capital. The emphasis will be on sustainability, multimodal transport and sensitivity to the natural setting and adjacent urban areas. The development plan is comprehensive and calls for a multidisciplinary team.
