Pipetting robot - 202511
The Institute of Marine Research, Department of Molecular Biology Laboratory in Bergen, will acquire a flexible pipetting robot (liquid handler robot, LH). The instrument will be integrated into our production line for genotyping by next-generation sequencing (NGS), which is based on 2-step PCR methodology. Thus, the instrument will primarily be used for the construction of NGS libraries and their preparation for sequencing. The tasks the instrument must perform include: i) Transfer of DNA template, as well as addition of master mixes and primers ii) Purification of PCR products (e.g. magnetic beads) iii) Automated ("hands-off") quantification of DNA iv) Individual normalization of libraries based on DNA concentration v) Merging of libraries Planned throughput is 20, 000-30, 000 samples per year in a sample flow that will normally take place in 4 x 96-well plates with reaction volumes of 5-20 uL. In the future, we envision that 384-well plates will become part of the sample flow. As the instrument is to be used post-PCR, it is important that the instrument design allows for efficient cleaning and thorough decontamination. We are looking for a fast instrument with high capacity, pipette...
