The purpose of this Prequalification is to seek out interested parties with similar project experience in size and scope to assist in short listing qualified general contractors for when theTender call proceeds to posting. Whitefeather Forest Community Resource Management Authority (WFCRMA) and Pikangikum First Nation (PFN) invites interested General Contractors (GCs) to submit relevant qualification information as it relates to the construction of a Engineered Timber Bridge Project. It is the intention of the owners to short-list GCs, through evaluation of the Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) submissions. The “Pre-Qualified” GCs will then have the opportunity to submit bids for construction of the Berens River Bridge Project when this Tender is madeavailable. Due to the complexity of work, the Owners are looking for firms that have previous relevant experience or other directly transferrable experience. Proponents that apply must haverelevant experience as a general contractor working on bridges, and other previous relevant and directly transferrable experiences could be an asset.The Berens River Bridge project falls within the Whitefeather Forest area in the administrative District of Red Lake in the Northwest Region of the Ontario. The site is located at the BerensRiver crossing known as Dogrib Falls approximately 10 km south east of the community of Pikangikum and approximately 110km north of Red Lake along the Nungesser Road.
