Summary Details:
VCHA requires two (2) Surgical Otology Iridex IQ532 Green Light Lasers distributed by Salient Medical Solutions Inc.. The Iridex IQ532 Green Light Laser is used for Otology and Neurotology procedures and is unique in that it features a spot size of 300 μm to access narrow angles. Otology / Neurotology is a very narrow surgical niche and is specifically used for surgery on stapes and other inner ear structures for the purpose of cutting small bone, scar tissue and abnormal tissue. Iridex IQ532 Green Light Laser is the only laser with the Iridex patented micropulse laser therapy which allows the tissue to cool between laser pulses preventing tissue damage. Salient Medical Solutions is the sole distributor of the Iridex IQ532 Green Light Laser in the Canadian Market.
