The naval facilities engineering command hawaii, construction acquisition division is seeking information only to determine whether capability exists to support this requirement.
The work involves the development, construction, and fit-up of photo voltaic panels. Offerors must be u.s. Owned; all subcontractors and suppliers must be u.s. Owned; and all individuals working on the project must be u.s. Citizens. The offeror should have experience in construction of large scale photo voltaic systems and working in a secure facility. The designer of record (dor) should have experience designing large scale (5, 000 kw per nfpa 70 art. 691) photo voltaic systems; protection and automation of double-ended secondary unit substations and switchgear; mv power systems and power distribution; and high reliability 24/7 continuous operation facilities. The naval facilities engineering command hawaii is looking for projects where the construction contractor and dor have worked together on large scale (approximately $10m or more) photo voltaic systems.
