This Negotiated Request for Proposals (“NRFP”) invites Proposals from Proponents for the provision of a modern, unified communications platform that offers reliability, simplicity, and scalability to replace the existing Skype for Business telephony system. At a high level, the District seeks a solution that: • Provides consistent and reliable communication across all sites. • Simplifies management and reduces operational complexity. • Supports modern features such as VoIP, collaboration tools, and integration with other platforms. • Ensures long-term scalability and improved user experience. Additionally, two buildings still utilize CAT3 cabling, requiring verification and potential upgrades to support new phone hardware, and asbestos in certain areas may further complicate the work and significantly increase cable-replacement costs. Notes: The District intends to reuse existing phone handsets as much as possible to optimize costs and reduce waste. However, NORTEL and SNOM phones are likely not planned for use in the new phone environment. A Privacy Impact Assessment will need to be completed by the lead Proponent prior to any work commencing.
