Personal Protective Equipment - Expressions Of Interest
Hutchison Ports (UK) Ltd (‘HPUK-) operates three ports in the UK and is seeking suppliers of personal protective equipment who can provide clothing (male and female) and footwear including but not limited to:Safety shoes; Brogue shoes; Safety rigger boots; Drivers- shoes; Hi-Viz jackets; Bodywarmers; Gloves - various (including electricians) - dispensed by vending machines; Hi-Viz coveralls (including flame retardant); Hi-Viz trousersHPUK spend approximately £270k per annum on PPE and suppliers must be able to manage this volume of goods whilst maintaining delivery timeframes.Currently HPUK has a minimal stockholding on site with just in time replenishment. Some of the clothing is logoed and therefore there are different parameters for just in time replenishment of logoed items/un-logoed items.HPUK is open to discussion on the way it currently manages its PPE supply and issue to staff and is inviting suppliers who:a) Supply both clothing and footwear;b) Can supply the volumes required as indicated above by the estimated annual spend value; andc) Who are registered entitiesto express an interest in this opportunity and, if invited by HPUK, to attend the Port of Felixstowe to discuss its current PPE management and alternative solutions.
