The goal of the procurement is to respond to the monitoring needs of the Helsinki Urban Environment sector regarding various light/active modes of transport. In addition, the general goal is a more comprehensive monitoring of people in streets, parks and nature sites, with a special emphasis on walking and cycling, but also on other active modes of transportation. The purpose is to gradually expand the current one in Helsinki monitoring network for the number of people moving, but it will also be used to replace the current traffic counters that have reached the end of their useful life. In addition to continuous and automatic monitoring, the goal of the acquisition is to find a solution for shorter sample counts implementation with the help of easily transferable counters.
