Parking system DTU wants to buy a parking system for DTU's campus in Lyngby. By a parking system, DTU means a technical system that is used to register and manage the use of a DTU's parking spaces. The system aims to provide a continuous overview of how many parking spaces are occupied and how many are available. The registration must be done using cameras or inductive coils, which are placed at the entrances and exits to the car parks. Every time a car drives into the parking lot, it is counted as an occupied space, and every time a car pulls out, a corresponding space is released. In this way, the system can continuously calculate how many parking spaces are available. The information must be displayed on digital parking signs at the entrance or along the access roads, where motorists can see how many spaces are available before they drive into the area.
