Description : The VFPA is embarking on the Marine Traffic Management System (the "MTMS"), a multi-phase, multi-year program to develop and implement a series of operational planning, management and optimization tools and services to help effectively manage trade enabling marine traffic for the purpose of increasing the fluidity, resiliency and utilization of port related marine infrastructure. Collectively, the proposed services and tools will make it possible to: # Establish and maintain inter-agency processes with key federal agency stakeholders; # Augment the existing Vessel Traffic Services and implement a Traffic Organization Service; # Deploy a marine traffic planning module and dynamic scheduling adjustment with seamless integration with key maritime traffic partners; # Establish a Port Community System providing supply chain players with a single window and/or holistic view of the maritime traffic picture.
