Request for Concept Notes for Organizing county level livestock trade shows.

Project Location : Kenya.

Kenya Semi-Arid Livestock Enhancement Support (K-SALES) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded project that aims to improve the competitiveness of the cattle, sheep and goats (shoats) value chain by increasing productivity and boost marketing and trade of live animals and meat (cattle and shoat), and hides and skins and other livestock products value chains. The project covers six Counties under the Semi-arid zone II of Kenya namely; Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Taita Taveta.

The purpose of request is to invite prospective firms with successful track record in organizing livestock trade shows or similar events within Kenya. Through these tradeshows, the project aims to;

· Expose smallholder livestock farmers to relevant productivity enhancement technologies.

· Facilitate match making between business services providers and the target end-users.
· Showcase outstanding breeds for cattle, sheep and goat for meat production.
· Enhance awareness among livestock stakeholders on the various markets, opportunities.
