The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement to Open, Inspect, Report and Possible Overhaul of the below item(s) and is requesting quotations:
The required repair must utilize genuine Caterpillar OEM parts and authorized service providers to ensure compatibility and reliability. Only original Caterpillar parts and certified technicians are authorized to perform repairs to maintain operational integrity and safety standards. Vendor shall provide written documentation from Caterpillar stating they are an authorized repair facility
No other aftermarket or substitute parts have been tested or approved for use with this equipment. Use of non-OEM parts could result in equipment failure, void warranties, and compromise mission readiness.
This brand name repair is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), which allows for brand name justification when only the identified brand name item will satisfy agency requirements.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.
