oKM4E - online Key Management for ETCS SBB Infrastructure is the ETCS CH system leader on behalf of the Federal Office of Transport (BAV). In this role she operates the Key Management Center Switzerland (KMC-CH) and is responsible for it Management, creation and distribution of cryptographic keys for all Radio Block Centers (RBC) used on the Swiss rail network as well as for all ETCS vehicles registered in Switzerland. The existing offline system KM4E — Key Management for ETCS is operated on a standalone PC and no longer meets the growing technical and regulatory requirements. It is to be replaced by a modern server solution oKM4E — Online Key Management for ETCS. The new system must be both Support offline and online key management, can be integrated into SBB's existing public key infrastructure (PKI) and meet high security requirements. In a first phase, the awarding of the contract includes the development, integration, Installation, migration and commissioning of the oKM4E system as well as subsequent maintenance and support in a second phase.
