Digital transformation is one of the strategic priorities of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) under the Indonesia Financial Services Sector Master Plan (MPSJKI) 2021-2025. Through Pillar 3, Accelerating Digital Transformation, OJK seeks to strengthen the competitiveness, efficiency, and resilience of Indonesia's financial sector by promoting the adoption of digital technologies, modernizing business processes, and enhancing the regulator's institutional capacity to respond to the rapid digitalization of financial services.As part of this transformation, the master plan identifies regulatory modernization as a key priority. This includes the development of Supervisory Technology (SupTech), the adoption of Regulatory Technology (RegTech), strengthened data governance and integration, modernization of licensing and reporting systems, and the application of advanced analytics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of regulatory and supervisory functions. The master plan further highlights the need for business process reengineering to support more integrated, data-driven, and risk-based licensing, reporting, and supervisory processes.In 2026 Annual Meeting of the Financial Services Industry (PTIJK 2026), under the theme of: "A Stable and Contributive Financial Services Sector Supporting Market Deepening and the National Economy”, OJK stated its policy priorities including priority to strengthen the resilience of the financial services sector.The resilience of the financial services sector is further strengthened through enhancements in governance and risk management, including the management of risk arising from increasingly complex and sophisticated cyber threats.
