Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, is issuing this pre-solicitation in accordance with (IAW) FAR 5.204 and FAR 5.207.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division (Corona Division) intends to sole source laboratory-based research support to develop gas-phase chemical sensors for the Navy calibration laboratories and to conduct testing and evaluation required to permit the Navy Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program to deploy such sensors in Navy calibration laboratories to researchers at University of California, Riverside (UCR) and the University of Notre Dame (UND) to modify the sensors developed in Phase I to work with new replacement solvents.

This notice is intended to fulfill the requirements of FAR 6.302-1(d)(2). Notwithstanding, Corona Division is seeking information from potential, responsible sources that have the interest and capability to provide laboratory-based research support to develop gas-phase chemical sensors for the Navy calibration laboratories and to conduct testing and evaluation required to permit the Navy Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program to deploy such sensors in Navy calibration laboratories.
