In continuation of the broad political agreement on compensation for mink breeders and mink-related businesses affected by COVID-19 (S, V, RV, SF and LA), it was decided on 2 November 2023 that Finansiel Stabilitet will be responsible for handling the assets that the state takes over from the mink trades. Finansiel Stabilitet has chosen to assign the task of handling the assets that the state takes over from the mink-related businesses to FS Ejendomsselskab A/S ("FS Ejendomsselskab"), which is a 100% owned subsidiary of Finansiel Stability. The contracting party in this tender is therefore FS Ejendomsselskab. It is expected that FS Ejendomsselskab will take over assets from a total of approx. 100 mink-related businesses, the majority of which are expected to be located in Jutland. It is a broad portfolio of assets consisting of (i) special assets such as robes, mink furs and skins, art, paintings, antiques and designer furniture and lamps, and similar items, and (ii) other assets such as operating equipment, mink cages, warehouses, vehicle and machinery fleets, warehouse fixtures and fittings, and similar items. The assets are taken over with a view to resale or disposal. FS Ejendomsselskab will, to the extent that it is financially justifiable, try to sell a number of the assets that FS Ejendomsselskab takes over from the mink trades.
