Tender Details
Tender are invited for Work consisting of Sludge Concentration Tanks Area : Demolish Ozonator Building and remove equipment. Equipment and FRP Ductwork to be re-used shall be carefully removed, stored, and re-installed once the Sludge Biofilter Building is completed; Provide a new Sludge Biofilter Building (SBB); Provide biofilter media, FRP grating, structure, ductworks, fan motors, pumps, valves, piping, controls, and all required structure and equipment; Re-install sodium hypochlorite tanks and provide all related storage and feed system equipment, mechanical, piping, electrical and control equipment for fully functional storage and feed system in the SBB; Provide new covers for WASSTRIP tanks 1 through 4. Provide FRP ductworks from gravity concentration tanks 7-16 to the existing FRP ductwork located on the gallery roof between the tanks; Provide all required utilities, electrical and controls. Notes : A Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Walk-Through will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 9 : 00 a.m., Chicago time, at the Stickney WRP, 6001 West Pershing Road, Stickney, Illinois, in the Monitoring and Research Auditorium. Potential bidders will be shuttled, via bus to the existing SW Coarse Screen building for the walk-through. There will be no question and answer session during the Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Walk-Through. Attendees are advised to bring a hard hat and appropriate foot wear for an industrial type of facility, and a current copy of their business card. Potential bidders may raise any questions they may have at the Technical Pre-Bid Conference.The Mandatory Technical Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 10 : 30 a.m., Chicago Time, immediately following the Pre-Bid Site Walk-Through at the Stickney WRP 6001 West Pershing Road, Stickney, Illinois, in the Monitoring and Research Auditorium. The purpose of the Pre-Bid Walk-Through/Technical Conference is to review the scope of work, to provide for identification and discussion of potential problems that might arise during the administration of this Contract, and seek clarification of technical or procedural aspects of this Contract. The associated goals are 15% Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), 7% Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and 10% Small Business Enterprises (SBE).
