The New Zealand Fire Service employs 10, 000 Fire Fighters, and is initially seeking (phase 1) prospective supplier information, RFI samples and then Structural Fire Fighting Gloves (SFFG) that are compliant with and certified to AS/NZS 2161.6:2014 - Protective Gloves for Structural Fire Fighting. Following evaluation of initial RFI proposals, the NZFS plans to run a wearer trial of suitably qualified gloves, followed by a formal RFT (phase 2) with a view to engaging in a term supply contract.
