Solicitation issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The project consists of Base Bid only. Description of Work:
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement to provide water, sewer, and electrical utilities to a new collaboration space, 20-x52- modular building, outside of building 1246. The entire scope of this project is indicated in the associated specification and on the associated drawing set. In summary, the Contractor shall: confirm the locations of existing underground utilities and structures in the project area using ground penetrating radar; excavate the water and sewer lines at the tap area locations; excavate and provide and install all materials required for new water, sewer, and electric trenches; provide and install all new materials required for water, sewer, and electric service to the new collaboration space from the connection points of the existing utilities; provide and install all materials required for a new exterior power/data/comms concrete slab near the new collaboration space; backfill all trenches as specified.
