TITLE
PURPOSE This RFS is issued to address the need Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has in seeking solutions to prototype novel EOD remote drilling robot that is man portable, and man emplaced with the capability to perform drilling on a variety of targets. The Government will evaluate the solutions with the intent of awarding an Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) in accordance with 10 U.S. Code § 4022.
BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY EMC2 Vendors interested in responding to this RFS must be members of the Expeditionary Missions Consortium - Crane (EMC2) consortium. Interested parties may visit emccrane.org for membership information. This project will be managed by a Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division Project Manager.
A Q&A session will be held on Wednesday July 3rd @ Noon, and this RFS is to close on Friday July 12th @ Noon. Consortium Members will be given access to attend the Q&A session.
PROJECT OVERVIEW Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is seeking solutions to prototype novel EOD remote drilling robot that is man portable, and man emplaced with the capability to perform drilling on a variety of targets. The ability for the EOD Robot to be man portable and man emplaced, while retaining the ability to drill multiple holes on a variety of targets remotely will increase the warfighter-s survivability during EOD operations.
