The Council is seeking a supplier to provide a removals service for tenants on the Yorke Drive estate, moving home as part of the phased decant of the Yorke Drive Regeneration Project. NSDC wishes to commission an organisation to: • Provide a removals service for a maximum of 92 moves. • Provide a packing and unpacking service for a selection of properties that require additional support. • Management and co-ordination of the removals with NSDC and the tenants in a professional, sensitive and efficient manner. The regeneration of the Yorke Drive estate has been a long-term priority for the Council to help address the on-going anti-social behaviour problems across the estate; improve connectivity with the wider locale; and improve the existing sports pitches, to create a safer place for the community to live. The current estate is a mixture of property sizes and is largely Council owned. The layout is a typical Radburn design with gardens positioned at the front of the property and a large network of passageways and alleyways across the estate, with limited green space. The Regeneration Team at the Council have recently reached a major milestone in this project, having secured Reserved Matters planning consent at Planning Committee on 13th February 2025, for 207 dwellings, 74 of which will be affordable houses.
