The project would impact Scout Lake State Recreation Site (SRS), protected by Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Act of 1966. The project would require the permanent acquisition of approximately 14.56 acres from three undeveloped parcels within Scout Lake SRS to realign Scout Lake Road with Lois Street, construct a new backage road connecting Lois Street to Corey Street, and relocate utility poles.
