THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Contracting Office (Code 400), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed price service contract to GERBER TECHNOLOGY LLC. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be from 22 Sept. 2025 - 21 Sep. 2026. This is a non-personal services contract to provide maintenance and support for single-ply cutters Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) Shop 64 Sail Loft owned GERBERcutterZ1 (Qty 2): Services include semiannual maintenance services, remote/phone support, onsite support, and software updates for the equipment.
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Gerber Technology or its parent company, Lectra, are the only authorized serviced providers in the United States of America for Gerber-manufactured equipment and software. Proper maintenance and upkeep of Gerber Technology manufactured equipment and software requires proprietary rights/information exclusive to the OEM and its parent company.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has been determined to be 334118 - Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing with a large business size standard of 1000 employees. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is L036 Technical Representative- Special Industry Machinery. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 24 July 2025 at 2:00 PM Pacific Time.
