This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE for the purpose of supplying electric utility services in St. Louis County, Minnesota and will be sole sourced to:
Allete, Inc.

As a part of this procurement, the Detroit District intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.103-1(b) to Allete, Inc.
Work Under this Contract is expected to include the following:
Provision all personnel, equipment, materials, supplies, supervision, and other items and services necessary to deliver continuous and reliable electrical utility services to designated U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities. The scope of this contract covers the complete provision of electrical power to the service delivery points. The contractor is responsible for the management, maintenance, and operation of the infrastructure required to deliver this power. All services shall be provided in accordance with the standards of a regulated public utility and must comply with all applicable commercial, local, state, and federal laws and regulations to ensure a safe, consistent, and uninterrupted power supply.
This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, and the information contained herein are subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. Only Contractor's capable of providing directly compatible equivalent products shall respond. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
