This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract in accordance with the acquisition of commercial products and commercial services under the simplified acquisition threshold in accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Subpart 12.102, Restricting Competition.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) on behalf of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) hereby issues this notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Bloomberg Industry Group, Inc, 1801 South Bell Street Arlington, VA 22202.
Background
In support of the S&T mission, many divisions need access to certain scientific journals and databases to remain at the forefront of their research. Bloomberg Government is a premier platform for federal policy, budget, and legislative intelligence. The proposed purchase will enable DHS S&T staff to access real-time government data, track legislative developments, and conduct policy analysis, thereby enhancing operational effectiveness and strategic decision-making. The acquisition is expected to streamline research, improve situational awareness, and support mission-critical activities. S&T will be procure five (5) subscriptions for (5) users.
