These Services Include the Provision of Four Bicycle Maintenance Training Courses. Each Course will have a Maximum of 5 Inmates and Consist of 24 Hours Instruction. the Contractor will Provide All Course Materials for Participants. This Includes Texts, Graduation or Participation Certificates. Russ Parks will Also Provide Bicycle Repair Instruction to Inmates Employed to Repair Bicycles for the Rec for Kids Programme which is a Non-Profit Organization that Gives Bicycles to Under Privileged Children in the Community. the Term of the Contract will be from April 1, 2018 Through March 31, 2019 and Upon Written Agreement May be Renewed or Extended for No More Than Two One-Year Terms. the Value of the Contract will Not Exceed $22, 100 Annually Unless Otherwise Agreed to by Both Parties to the Agreement. the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Has Chosen Not to Call for Proposals As the Contractor is Currently Involved in Providing Bicycle Maintenance Training and Bicycle Repair Instruction to Inmates in the Lower Mainland. This Continuity of Service is Critical to Ensure Offenders have Every Opportunity to Avoid Re-Offending. the Contractor Provides These Programs and Services to Inmates in an Effort to Assist Them in Living a Healthy, Productive Life Style. Russ Parks Has Experience and Extensive Knowledge of Working with the Inmate Population. He is Familiar with the Security Procedures and Protocols Required to Function in a Maximum Security Environment. He will Provide a Continuity of Service to a Uniquely Challenging and Fluid Population. Organizations Wishing to Object to This Decision Should Contact Joyce Oates, Assistant Deputy Warden, Programs in Writing by Facsimile at (604) 572-2101, No Later Than 14:00 Pacific Time on March 23, 2016 Detailing Specific Reasons for Their Objections. Proof of an Organization\`S Capabilities and Demonstrated Record for Providing the Same or Better Overall Service, at a Lower Cost, in the Same Timeframe, and with No Service Disruption, will be the Key Criterion for Considering Any Objections. if Justified, the Ministry will Convene a Meeting with Ministry Representatives and the Organization to Receive Representations Concerning the Contract.
