Description of Intended Products or Services Provided:The compliance requirements of the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) routinely make necessary the purchase of wetland mitigation bank credits to address the impacts associated with the existing wetland site conditions. Available mitigation banks are determined by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's permitted service area for each bank and the Uniform Mitigation Assessment Method (UMAM) is used to validate these credits and the service area must cover the area the project impacts.
