The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Franklin Young International, Incorporated, an authorized QIAGEN reseller.
This acquisition is for commercial products and associated commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.
Interested parties may identify their interest and demonstrate their capability to satisfy the Government-s minimum requirements.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist identified in this notice by the closing date and time specified.
Brand Name Requirement
The Government requires the purchase of two (2) QIAGEN QIAcube Connect RNA/DNA Extraction Systems (SYS-FUL-1) and two (2) corresponding QIAcube Connect IQ/OQ Services, including installation, operator training, warranty, and Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) services, in support of the Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch, Division of Laboratory Sciences (DLS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
