NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD FOR Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge (BdA) Heavy Equipment Repair TO Iron Horse Welding LLCTHIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT DUE TO URGENT AND COMPELLING NEEDS AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations, Legacy Region 9. USFWS intends to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and compelling urgency:Iron Horse Welding LLC5024 Broadway Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM, 871051.2 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The object of this award to Iron Horse Welding LLC is Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge (BdA) has a 12-mile auto tour that requires mowing on each side of the road. BdA farms hundreds of acres of corn, triticale, clover, and wetland plants that required tractors and mowers for planting and mowing. BdA has an extensive ditch and canal system for moving water from intakes on the north end of the refuge, through the wetland units, and out the south boundary. The excavator is necessary for cleaning out the drains and canals. The desired outcome of having the mechanic come to the refuge is to assess our tractors and heavy equipment and get estimates on the repairs. Our goal is to have as many things fixed while the mechanic is on site. Repairs that are either very costly and/or require skills and parts not available at the time will be up for discussion.Iron Horse Welding (Iron Horse) is located in Albuquerque, NM and specializes in heavy field equipment repair and welding services.
