Description

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract to ANDE Corporation, (CAGE Code 47QZ9), 266 2nd Avenue, Waltham, Massachusetts, 02451 for eight (8) ANDE 6C Series G Rapid DNA Analysis Instruments and a one-year service contract.

The ANDE 6C Series G Instrument is Made in the United States of America (USA). The delivery of the instruments will be approximately thirty days after receipt of the order.

Rapid DNA analysis is a term used to describe the fully automated (hands free) process of developing a DNA profile from a reference sample mouth swab without human intervention in under two hours. The FBI-s Laboratory Division is planning efforts for the future deployment of Rapid DNA instruments during mass arrest events in the field. It is critical that these arrestee samples are processed quickly for upload and search in the national level of CODIS. The Rapid DNA instrument for this scenario must be able to process multiple samples at the same time. There is only one Rapid DNA instrument capable of processing more than one sample at a time, the ANDE 6C Series G. Each ANDE instrument is capable of processing five arrestee samples at a time.

Currently, the FBI owns three (3) ANDE 6C Instruments. The FBI awarded Contract Number 15F06719P0004059 to ANDE on 23 September 2019. The FBI awarded Contract Number 15F06719C0002402 to ANDE on 11 June 2019. The FBI awarded Contract Number DJF171200P0003655 to ANDE on 8 March 2017, (formerly known as NetBio, Inc).
