The center will become one of the world's most advanced facilities for research and education, and will become the new national knowledge center for ocean space technology. With a world-leading research and teaching infrastructure on the opportunities in ocean space, the center will ensure value creation for Norway through competitive ocean space industries and contribute to the green transition. The project's cost framework is NOK 10.2 billion (price level July 2023). The project is one of the largest construction projects that Statsbygg has carried out in Trondheim.
