The Province invites Respondents to submit Responses for the provision of Medium Helicopter Services, which will be provided to BC Wildfire Services (“BCWS”), a branch within the Ministry of Forests. The Medium Helicopter Services utilize Medium Helicopters for a variety of purposes, including initial attack preparedness and fire response, large fire support, fire suppression activities including bucketing and helitanking operations, transportation of personnel, transportation of cargo (including dangerous goods) both internally and externally, transportation of injured workers and other activities as required to help support BCWS in managing wildfires and fire suppression activities. Medium Helicopter Services will include the provision of a Medium Helicopter, Pilot and Maintenance Crew with a highly mobile truck and service trailer. The Medium Helicopter Services are further described in section 3.3 below and Appendix A - Standing Arrangement, Schedule A. Respondents will be required to have the Medium Helicopter in their possession at the Closing Date and Time, and are to specify the designated Medium Helicopter in their Response including the information required in Schedule 1 - Helicopter Performance Useful Load to Appendix B. Prior to the Closing Date and Time, Respondents are required to currently own or lease the Medium Helicopter proposed.
