NIR system for detection of parathyroid at Helse Bergen HF. In addition, the option for the following is desired: Service agreement for different service levels Service course (medical technical personnel) The equipment must enable intraoperative autofluorescence to identify and localize parathyroid glands during endocrine neck surgery. The purpose is to support the surgeon with faster and more secure visualization of the parathyroid, especially in situations where the glands are small, atypically located or difficult to distinguish from the surrounding tissue. The equipment is intended to be used as an addition to today's standard surgical technique, to contribute to: - Preservation of the parathyroid and blood supply (vascularization), especially in thyroid surgery with a potentially reduced risk of postoperative hypocalcaemia/hypoparathyroidism - More precise dissection and decision support for demanding anatomical conditions - In parathyroid surgery: support to identify normal glands (e.g. during reoperation), to separate the parathyroid from surrounding tissue and contribute to safer dissection Current procedures/operations where this may be relevant: - Thyroid surgery (hemithyroidectomy and total thyroidectomy), incl. reoperations - Central lymph node dissection in thyroid cancer - Parathyroid surgery (primary and reoperative surgery in hyperparatyreoidisme)
