Notice of Sole Source IntentThe United States Wildland Fire Service (USWFS), at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) intends to award a purchase order for telecommunications services to furnish all circuits, bandwidth, connectivity, and related services necessary to provide reliable Internet and voice communication capabilities that support NIFC-s mission-critical fire operations.The work shall be seamlessly compatible with the existing campus-wide telecommunications infrastructure and related services to support USWFS conducted in support of operations directed out of the NIFC campus. Since USWFS-s initial market research indicates and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 that only one responsible source can fully provide the services that will satisfy the Agency-s requirements, a Determination to Solicit from a Single Source justification is being prepared.The Government anticipates award on or before April 15, 2026 with services to begin immediately upon award to ensure the telecommunications services are updated to alleviate disruption of services. Vendors that have questions regarding the sole source nature of the requirement or vendors that believe they can fully provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Specialist no later than April 14, 2026.All responsible sources may submit a capability statement in with convincing evidence they can furnish the requested service, and if possible, a brief price breakout of services for comparison the Independent Government Estimate (IGE). Vendors should also describe their capability to provide telecommunications services stated above since this will be a requirement during performance. All responses received will be used for market research purposes and evaluated if capable of providing the subject service.
