New Plymouth District CouncilNew Plymouth District Council is seeking one or more capable and experienced providers to design and deliver youth engagement programs that are inclusive, culturally responsive, and tailored to the diverse needs of rangatahi across the district. We are looking for suppliers with a proven track record of delivering similar services, demonstrating clear and positive outcomes. The successful provider will have the capability, experience, and skills to manage programs of comparable size and complexity, with strong planning, communication, and project management practices. It is essential that the providers can work collaboratively with Council staff and community partners and has proven strategies for engaging youth safely and meaningfully in a variety of settings. We value proposals that reflect the Ministry of Youth Development's principles, including youth involvement in decision-making, leadership development, and ongoing participation. Programs should offer a range of opportunities - such as volunteering, consultation, education, recreation, and leadership - that empower young people and foster a sense of belonging. In line with NPDC's commitment to broader community outcomes, we encourage suppliers to demonstrate how their procurement and employment practices contribute to positive social and economic impacts within the district. A strong understanding of Te Ao Maori, values that align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to cultural inclusivity are essential. The ability to deliver services across one or more of the following locations - New Plymouth, Waitara, Kaitake and Inglewood - is also essential.
