This made the site of the former tram turning loop on Burgfelderstrasse free for new development. On the ground floor The new building houses a double kindergarten and a day structure. A total of 32 apartments will be built on the four upper floors and in the attic for rent to people receiving social assistance. In addition, there is this on the 1st floor Office of Social Welfare. The existing tram waiting hall, built in 1959 by the then cantonal master builder, was included in the inventory of buildings worthy of protection in 2012. In consultation with the cantonal monument preservation authority, it will be repaired and given a new use supplied. Future use is currently still open.
