Description
Vendor is required to provide a 12 person, on-site fiber optic training course at NSWCPD. The training must be given in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 8477552 Rev. C. Purchase is limited source, there are only two vendors that are certified to provide the training on MIL-STD-2042C, IAW NAVSEA Drawing 8477552 Rev. C. These sources cover the following topics as part of the MIL-STD-2042C certification program:
•Single Ferrule Termination (LC, ST, SC, FC, etc.)
•Multi Terminus (Amphenol and connector fibers)
•Optical Testing (visual fault indication and dB loss testing)
