Country: Laos. Description of the Assignment: With guidance from the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and UNDP, the consultant is expected to deliver the following: i. Capacity needs assessment and planning. Conduct a capacity needs assessment among targeted stakeholders, including extension officers, farmer groups, CSOs, and financial institutions, to identify knowledge gaps in sustainable agriculture, agrochemical risk management, and financing mechanisms.. Prepare a detailed workplan outlining the strategy, target groups, delivery schedule, and expected outcomes for both training activities and pilot interventions.. Align all plans with the FARM project results in framework, government priorities, and agroecological best practices. ii. Training curriculum development and knowledge product design. Design training curriculum tailored for various stakeholder groups on key themes such as: Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Organic and climate-resilient farming practices, Safe handling, storage, and disposal of agrochemicals and agricultural plastics, Environmental and health risks of hazardous pesticides and Accessing green financing and incentives for sustainable agriculture.. Develop training manuals, visual aids, field handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and e-learning modules in both Lao and English, ensuring gender and inclusivity sensitivity.. ...
